    My name is Henry Sisa; I was born in north Ecuador, in a small city called Ibarra. I moved to Quito in 1999 to complete my university education with a degree Ecology and Tourism. I graduated in 2004 as a professional tour guide and my first experience was Amazon naturalist tour guide for 3 years. I have been in the tourism industry since then.

    I worked as a guide and tour leader until 2014; in my path I experienced leading expeditions in multiple destinations such us Ecuador – Galapagos Islands, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia. My expertise as a biologist is in nature, wildlife, culture and specialized in Adventure travel. I have manage all type of customers including groups, FITs, private travel, family holydays and Luxury trips. I love life, my priority is to share the beauty of our country and create meaningful connections between the traveler and the destinations, promoting a real encounter with local people and nature.

    All this passion for the travel industry push me I found Adventure Journeys in 2012, focused on delivering real experiences with high quality service level and taking care of every detail in the operation. Today AJ has become a leader company in Adventure travel, small groups departures, luxury travel and family holidays in both Ecuador and Galapagos Islands




    My name is Jorge Trujillo and currently I’m 28 years old. I was born in Quito, the capital of Ecuador. I’m a mix from an Ecuadorian mother and a Colombian father.

    I have been working in tourism for 9 years and it’s one of the things that I’m most great-full for since this industry allows me to get to know different people, learn from their travels and culture and make new friends from around the world.

    I’m really passionate about my country with all that it has to offer! I have never met anyone who has came down to visit and has not fallen in love with it!




    Hi! My name is Amparito Zaruma and I was born in Loja – Ecuador. I graduated as a CPA at UTPL university in Loja, I am very happy to work at Adventure Journeys and I am very glad to be able to support this company and do my best to keep good business and personal relationships. I am also grateful for their opinions and suggestions that will allow me to grow. This office has a great environment!




    I was born in 1990 in Quito, Ecuador. I completed my Engineering degree in Hotel Management and Tourism at UDLA (Universidad de las Américas) in Quito. Prior to embarking on a career in tourism, I was interested in learning new languages. In my early 20’s, I traveled to Europe in order to improve my French and German. I worked and studied German in Mannheim-Germany, where I remained for a year. I like to travel and cultural exchanges with people around the world. I worked in the area of events at Kings Dominion, Virginia-USA, during my summer vacations for three years, where I had the opportunity to meet people from different countries. In 2015, I began working in a nonprofit organization in United States, The International Ecotourism Society (TIES), where I represented the country and the company worldwide in tourism events and meetings.

    I am a passionate musician, since I was a little kid, I have been playing percussion instruments, mainly drums




    Since I was a kid I've always been amazed by mountains and here in our country I think we have some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. The geography, along with the all the nature in Ecuador makes it a fantastically diverse country. I combine the beauty of my country with my job, being outdoors all the time, doing all the sports I like and sharing the adventure and amazing things that our beautiful country can offer with all the visitors coming here.

    I've being guiding in the outdoors adventures for 14 years now. I graduated from college as a certified national guide in 2001 and the best way to live, is to love what you do for a living. I like to make sure the tourists enjoy all the beautiful characteristics of Ecuador, so they can have the best traveling experience possible.




    I was born in Quito, which is a special mix of natural and cultural tones. In my opinion, the best place to live. I have been a musician since a little kid. I graduated with an ecology and tourism degree. I decided to ensemble all my feelings, skills and knowledge to give the best time to our visitors. My experiences as a music teacher in the Galapagos Islands and as a tour guide in Peru and Bolivia have helped me to find the perfect methodology to explain every small and big thing about nature, culture and flavors of my country. My hobbies are mountain biking, general extreme sports and my hard rock band. Come to visit my country with us and enjoy the pleasure of the Ecuadorian spirit, sounds and nature.



    I’m a quiteña, 36 years old and a mother of 2 who loves Ecuador and traveling. After graduating from a local university in tourism, I have worked for 15 years as a National tour guide and have loved every minute of it. My parents transmitted the passion for our country since a young age and guiding has continued to be one of my greatest joys in life. My favorite area of my country is the rainforest, although I enjoy visiting every part of Ecuador. I love photography, the outdoors and working out, still girly nevertheless.



    My name is Jose Naranjo. I’ve been passionate about tourism all my life. I studied eco-tourism in college and my first real job in the field was at Grand Canyon, AZ. It’s an honor for me to be able to show my country to our visitors, and I enjoy sharing my passion every day; I love sports, nature and culture. Ecuador is a magical playground!
